Great Expectations: Demand Progress

One of the core values at Endeavour Coaching is Progress.

Talking about dreams is nice, and we will, but the difference between a dream and a completed goal is practice and results. I expect success for what I do, so I expect results to follow. And I will expect the same for you!

Over the years of my employment, I realized that I loved working for highly successful businesses. The businesses that were underperforming or mediocre drove me crazy and still do. You’ve been in those kinds of stores and dealt with the customer service of companies like that. You’ve felt ignored and undervalued, and received an inferior product.

I like working for people who expect results – good results – excellent results! Working for companies that expect results can be exhausting, but at the end of the day, when your company is at the top, you appreciate the insatiability.

I’ve worked for two top-tier circuit board manufacturers, as a CAD programmer. One plant, in particular, was the most profitable site in its company and was the prototype plant for cell phones, network systems, and computers. All the major tech companies would drive over from Research Triangle Park, right where Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina meet, to be present during the building of their new boards. It was fast paced, and we made engineering changes even as the boards were on the line being built.

I’ve also worked in very high performing restaurants. In some categories we were the #1 store in North Carolina, in the United States, and in the entire chain. Multiple times. Over years. Continually at the top. We were in essence the Super Bowl champions in the restaurant industry. Multiple years in a row. We continually pushed the bar higher and higher. We competed against ourselves and our own results.

I cannot stand low performing enterprises. In fact, I have to fight the urge to get frustrated when processes are giving poor results. When guests or customers aren’t getting impressive service that wows them, I’m not satisfied. I will expect no less from you. If I know that you can do better, if I see untapped potential, I will kindly call you out on it.

If you’re the type of person that appreciates good results, then I am the coach for you.

I will expect your best efforts in the process and expect you to aim for goals way out of your reach or comfort zone. I will challenge you to think way out of the box and off the grid. I will need you to be willing to put everything on the table for evaluation and then we’ll make some real progress.
